Rules
Top Dog is a head-to-head fantasy football competition run over the Premier League season, across two divisions.
The format
Every Gameweek, each manager is drawn against one other manager. Whoever scores more Fantasy Premier League points that Gameweek takes the win; level scores are a draw. Overall rank is not the competition — the fixture is.
The TOP DOG Premier League is the top division and holds 20 teams. The Championship sits beneath it, with promotion and relegation between the two at the end of each season.

- Payment deadline
- 15 August. Entry must be paid before the deadline to hold a place for the season.
Promotion and relegation
Teams move between the Premier League and the Championship at the end of each season. Movement is not decided on final position alone: places also change hands when managers leave the competition or do not pay before the entry deadline.
Prizes
Prizes are distributed at the end of the season and must be claimed within 30 days. An unclaimed prize does not roll over indefinitely — the claim window is part of the rules, not an administrative courtesy.
Scoring and results
Scoring is Fantasy Premier League’s own. Top Dog does not adjust, recompute or override it.
A Gameweek is provisional until Fantasy Premier League declares it. Bonus points in particular are unconfirmed until then, so a head-to-head that looks won can still change. This site labels every Gameweek with its state and does not describe a provisional tie as a result.

The league constitution — including waitlist handling, disputes and the detail of prize distribution — is held by the commissioner and issued to members. This page is a summary of the terms that govern the competition, not a replacement for it.
